RoHS指令（RoHS1）の対象製品の具体例
RoHS指令：2002/95/EC（RoHS1）では、WEEE指令：2002/96/ECのAnnexⅠA（付属書1A）で区分されたカテゴリを参照する形で対象製品を指定し、AnnexⅠB（付属書1B）でそのカテゴリに該当する具体的な製品名（品目）の例を示しています。

付属書1Bで記載している製品名はあくまでも一例で、一般的・汎用的な名称が記載されているに過ぎないので、名称にこだわることなく、対象カテゴリの製品かどうかを判断する必要があります。
名称、呼び方が自社と違うから該当しない、という判断はNGです。
また、カテゴリ1、2は「household：家庭用」となっていますが、業務用で使っていても家庭用と判断される場合もあるようですので要注意です。

付属書1Bで記載している製品名はあくまでも一例で、一般的・汎用的な名称が記載されているに過ぎないので、名称にこだわることなく、対象カテゴリの製品かどうかを判断する必要があります。
名称、呼び方が自社と違うから該当しない、という判断はNGです。
また、カテゴリ1、2は「household：家庭用」となっていますが、業務用で使っていても家庭用と判断される場合もあるようですので要注意です。

改正RoHS指令：2011/65/EU（RoHS2）では、カテゴリ11として「カテゴリ1～10に含まれないその他の電気電子機器」が追加され、このオープンスコープ化（全ての電気電子機器を対象にすること）により、大幅に対象機種が拡大されました。
また、RoHS1で対象外だったカテゴリ8、9および新規に追加されたカテゴリ11は、RoHS2の対象カテゴリ（対象製品）となりました。詳しくはこちらのページで。
